Fashion ... Art ... Interior... Beauty...
This post just came so naturally. It is because my love and passion for all four entities mentioned above...
CREATIVE !!!!
I think it is a creative person's "thing" to connect the dots of every creative industries' trends and combine and infuse them into your own style. I didn't even notice until quite recently how a trend or a color pallet defines who I am and what I LOVE!
Sometimes people think the way you dress and act categorise you. Well I don't have a problem with that. I have always been a person that really doesn't give a fuck what people think. People should also not expect me to follow the masses in the fashion industry. Although I work in this industry, I do not want to be limited to what is expected or available. I want to be MYSELF, I define MYSELF.
For quite a number of years I didn't have the freedom to express my personality in my interior design. Fortunately, I have lately had two opportunities to design my bedroom and could express myself just as I pleased. What I loved was that it just effortlessly all came together! I realized that the color pallet and design of my room and closet (yes, I actually have a walk-in closet! Small as it may be, it's a walk-in closet!) had the same look and feel as my fashion sense and were fabulously in sync in every sense!
I wanted to create a safe place... A haven where I can just be and feel the hope and creativity flowing back into my life.
I was finally in a space where I felt safe, not yet too content, but at peace. How weird is it that just the design and outline of your room and closet can bring so many feelings of happiness and being home. Yet again, SAFE!!!
I am a very visual person, so what you see is what you get! This is ME!!!
Pinks.... Greys... White.... Neutrals...
Soothing pallets, soothing designs! And then of course, me being me, everything flowy. Typical Chloe designs and inspiration!
You need to be YOU! Express that through what you love and what you want! Each and every person differs so much it is actually AMAZING how many different creative expressions and opinions there are.
Well, this is me! This is the first time after being hospitalized I felt the need to create mood boards, inspiration boards and just be me again. Even my mom and dad commented that I have been such a different person the past few days, but in a good way....
I am becoming myself again! One baby step at a time....
